Income Support for Farmers

Key Features: - Financial Assistance: ₹6,000 per year is provided in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each. - Direct Deposit: The funds are transferred directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. - Identification: The responsibility of identifying the eligible farmer families lies with the State/UT Governments.
Eligibility: - All landholding farmers' families, which have cultivable landholding in their names are eligible. - Exclusion criteria apply to high-income individuals, professionals, and retired government employees with pensions above a certain limit.
How to check status: Farmers can visit the PM-Kisan portal and use the "Beneficiary Status" feature to check if their payment has been processed using their Aadhaar number or Bank Account number.
