National Beekeeping & Honey Mission: The Sweet Revolution

Under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, the National Beekeeping & Honey Mission (NBHM) aims to double farm income by developing scientific beekeeping across mustard, litchi, apple, sunflower, and acacia agro-climatic belts.

Subsidies & Interventions: - Bee Boxes and Honey Bee Colonies: Up to 80% financial subsidy for women SHGs, small/marginal farmers, and FPOs to purchase standard 10-frame Langstroth bee boxes and Apis mellifera / Apis cerana colonies. - Custom Hiring Honey Processing Units: 75% project subsidy up to ₹20 Lakhs. - Mini Honey Testing Laboratories: Financial support up to ₹50 Lakhs for testing NMR purity and adulteration.
