Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana (NSMNY)
The Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana was launched by the Government of Maharashtra to double direct cash assistance for agrarian families. The scheme deposits ₹6,000 per year directly into the bank accounts of all eligible farmers in Maharashtra in three installments of ₹2,000 each, synchronized with the central PM-KISAN scheme.
When combined with the Central Government's ₹6,000 under PM-KISAN, each beneficiary farmer receives a total of ₹12,000 annually directly into their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.
Installment Schedule
- 1st Installment (₹2,000): Disbursed along with Kharif pre-sowing period (April - July).
- 2nd Installment (₹2,000): Disbursed during Rabi pre-sowing period (August - November).
- 3rd Installment (₹2,000): Disbursed during post-harvest / summer sowing period (December - March).
Eligibility Criteria
- The farmer must be a resident of Maharashtra holding cultivable agricultural land.
- The beneficiary must already be approved and receiving benefits under the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Scheme.
- Mandatory Conditions:
- Aadhaar-bank account seeding with active NPCI direct credit mapping.
- Land record verification (7/12 land seeding completed on PM-KISAN portal).
- Biometric or OTP-based e-KYC completed.
- Institutional landowners and income tax payers are excluded.
How to Check Payment Status
- Visit the dedicated state portal at nsmny.mahait.org or mahadbt.maharashtra.gov.in.
- Click on Beneficiary Status / लाभार्थी स्थिती.
- Enter your Aadhaar Number or PM-KISAN Registration ID.
- View real-time DBT credit transaction details with bank name and credit timestamp.
