Overview Powdery Mildew is a widespread fungal disease caused by various species of fungi (e.g., Erysiphe spp.). It affects cucurbits, peas, grapes, and many ornamental plants.
Key Symptoms - White Powdery Growth: White or gray flour-like powdery spots appear on upper leaf surfaces, eventually covering entire leaves. - Leaf Distortion: Leaves may curl, turn yellow, dry up, and drop prematurely.
Management 1. Sunlight & Air: Plant in sunny locations and prune dense foliage to allow good air circulation. 2. Baking Soda Spray: Mix baking soda (1 tbsp) and neem oil in water. 3. Chemical Control: Spray Wettable Sulfur 80 WP (2-3g/L) or Hexaconazole 5 EC (1 ml/L).
