Overview Citrus Canker is caused by the bacterium Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri. It is a major threat to commercial citrus species like lemons, limes, and oranges, causing leaf drop and unmarketable blemished fruit.

Key Symptoms - Corky Lesions: Raised, brown, corky spots with water-soaked margins appear on leaves, twigs, and fruit. - Yellow Halo: A prominent yellow ring or halo often surrounds the corky lesions on leaves.

Management 1. Sanitation: Prune infected twigs and burn them. Clean pruning tools with disinfectant. 2. Chemical Control: Spray Copper Oxychloride 50 WP (3g/L) combined with Streptocycline (0.1g/L) to manage bacterial infection.
